No panic for Sutil despite no 2012 deal 20 December, 2011 Adrian Sutil with Nico Hulkenberg Dec.20 (GMM) Adrian Sutil is in no rush to secure his future after losing his long-time Force India seat ahead of 2012. The 28-year-old – with an impressive finish to the 2011 season behind him – has been shortlisted by Williams, who are reportedly also interested in the German’s solid backing by the computer company Medion. Auto Motor und Sport reported this week that Sutil and his manager Manfred Zimmermann are keen to ink a one-year deal so that he is free to switch to Ferrari at the end of Felipe Massa’s contract. “We are not panicking,” said Zimmermann in the wake of Force India’s confirmation that Sutil is being replaced for 2012 by his countryman Nico Hulkenberg. “We have until February 7, when the tests begin,” he told Sport1. Zimmermann did not deny the Ferrari rumours, saying only: “It would be a strange tactic to give the names of those you are talking to. “We will keep quiet with our various options and decide what makes the most sense.” Spencer Sutil would be great at Ferrari (performance-wise)… however, his close friendship with Hamilton could spoil things for Alonso… Either way, Sutil deserves a solid ride for 2012. Twiinz I doubt Sutil will ever drive for Ferrari. He is a mid level driver. Ferrari will want someone younger that can be groomed into a leader. I like Sutil, but that is not him. Kubica if he heals well , will get the chance. Maybe even Bianchi or Perez.
