Williams remain evasive on Raikkonen 29 October, 2011 Kimi Raikkonen Oct.28 (PVM) Adam Parr, Chairman of Williams F1 has refused to speculate on the strong rumours that World Champion Kimi Räikkönen will be returning from WRC to join the team next year. In the wake of growing reports circulating about an imminent deal involving the popular Finn and a big Qatari sponsorship deal, Parr said during the FIA press conference at Buddh International Circuit: “I am afraid there is only one answer to that question, which is that our race drivers are Pastor Maldonado and Rubens Barrichello and if, and when, that changes we will make an appropriate announcement.” GMM reports that Parr was later asked a nearly identical question in the Buddh paddock by MTV3, Finland’s television broadcaster, he said, “Kimi has been one of the most competent drivers in the last few years,” acknowledged Parr, “and I think everyone would like to see him back in F1.” The Former McLaren driver is notoriously unforthcoming with the media, but German-language reports this week have quoted Raikkonen as responding to a question about a hypothetical return to F1. “Of course you always want a winning car,” he said, “but as we have seen this year, there is only one team that really has that.” Tweet Related NewsIndian GP problems money related says EcclestoneIndian GP organisers seek meeting to pursue 2015 returnNo Indian GP return in 2015 as Baku street race set to happenLaw change paves road for India GP returnFIA crazy to penalise Vettel donuts says HamiltonRed Bull: The India donuts were good for the sport and the penalty was a shameLotus apologises after telling Kimi to get out of the f*cking wayHard worker Vettel helped mechanics pack up garage after fourth title winPirelli relationship with F1 became even more strained in IndiaVettel: I’m way too young to understand what it means to be four time World Champion Tamburello_1994 In there like swimwear. . . . . . . .
