Rosberg denies destroying Schumi legacy 29 July, 2011 Nico Rosberg with team mate Michael Schumacher Jul.29 (GMM) On the occasion of his 100th grand prix weekend, Nico Rosberg dismissed the suggestion his best achievement was “destroying” the Michael Schumacher’s legacy by out racing the seven times world champion at Mercedes GP. “No, I definitely would not say that,” he is quoted by Turun Sanomat at the Hungaroring. “This year, generally, Michael has done a really good job. I’ve just managed to be in front more often. I would not say I have destroyed the guy. “Qualifying has gone very well, I’m satisfied, but that’s it,” the German added. He may be currently beating Formula 1’s most successful driver in history, but a glaring omission in Rosberg’s statistics is a single win. Asked which of his 99 races so far was the best, the 26-year-old admitted: “I don’t know … it’s yet to come.” Tweet Related NewsNo number one for Hamilton who wants to keep #44F1 drivers take to Twitter to congratulate HamiltonDennis: McLaren board will decide 2015 driversLauda: Nico will fight backHamilton: New Mercedes contract is a formalityHamilton: I celebrated with a watermelon juiceRosberg: Hamilton was the best driver on the grid this yearHamilton: I feel very happy here, no rush to sign new dealLewis and Nico shake hands at end of epic seasonHamilton family spring surprise on champ http://yallaF1.com F1 fan How can he be destroying Schumacher’s legacy when Nico has not even won 1 race yet?
