Feb.15 (GMM) Sebastian Vettel has reconfirmed his desire to one day switch to the Ferrari team.

The new world champion and his current team Red Bull have recently been playing down the speculation about 23-year-old Vettel’s career beyond his current contract.

But the Italian daily Libero quotes him as saying last week at Jerez: “I would like to be on the podium at Monza with Ferrari. One day I do hope to be with the team from Maranello,” added Vettel.

“However, I am happy to stay with Red Bull and even now there are a lot of Italians who support me,” said the German.

Well the kid should go to Ferrari and see what happens then. Marko should march him out the door.

For God sake Red Bull won you the WDC.

He’s just doing a little early negotiating with RB. Not one word is missed by Mateschitz. Everytime he says he longs for a seat in a red car, Dietrich adds a zero.

Greetings Sebastian VetteL. You are a brave man too, and I’m impressed. each had advantages. remain viable.

Vettel is young and talented. If I were in his place, I would stay with Red Bull. The RB6 designed by Newey was the class of the field last year and team dominance became his ticket to the WDC. Of course, a Ferrari team of Alonso and Vettel would be stupendous, but a huge problem to manage. Alonso is no Mark Webber, and Vettel would swiftly find himself on quicksand against a two time WDC who defeated Michael Schumacher, not once but twice. Vettel would be very well advised to stay right where he is for the foreseeable future. I hate to see you drivers make foolish mistakes and switch teams when they have the world at their feet – Alonso’s sojourn at McLaren was instructive.

As a Driver Vettel’s ambition to drive Ferrari one day is normal for any Driver. Especially, the passion and togetherness Ferrari shows on field are excellent. Ferrari not only for Italians even we at India is a religion. That doesn’t mean that Red Bull is any inferior. ALL THE BEST VETTEL FOR A GREATER 2011.

It’s obvious he’s been talking to Schumacher.
