After the runs, Webber took a more leisurely drive along the route waving the Thai flag, acknowledging the Red Bull links with the country.

Also on offer for the spectators were a jazz session to honour the monarch and a parade lead by Webber and Thailand’s top actresses”Aum” Patcharapa Chaichua and “Ploy” Chermarn Boonyasak, followed by a show by Red Bull Drift Team Thailand, led by ‘Kiki’ Sak Nana.

The Red Bull showcar was displayed at Bangkok’s Central Chidlom’s Morakot after the day’s action.

Bhumibol Adulyadej is the name of the Thai King. It is great to see Red Bull and Mark Webber put on such a great show for the King and the people of Bangkok. The King has had a very rough time with his health and it is great to see him take part in his birthday celebrations.

    That’s definitely neither RB6 nor RB5.
Do they produce special cars for shows like these? What exactly constitutes a showcar? I mean is it a 3-5 years old redbull car?

  • Bec

It should be a slightly modified RB1 with a V10 engine, as used by Chandhock in Korea, so nearly 6 years old.

i think it is either an rb5 or rb6, its easy to tell from the width of the front and rear wings…
