Senna still in talks for 2011 F1 seat 20 December, 2010 Bruno Senna Dec.20 (PVM) Bruno Senna has admitted that talks with Lotus for a seat in the team did take place but fell through, nevertheless he remains in negotiations with other teams for a 2011 Formula 1 drive. Speaking to Globo Esporte from Florianapolis, where he is driving inFelipe Massa’s Challenge of the Stars karting event, Senna said, “We were talking with Lotus, but the internal conditions prevented the deal. Anyway, it was not the only team with whom we were negotiating. But the rumour that I was close to a deal [with Lotus] is completely exaggerated. Senna, nephew of the late great Ayrton Senna, was apparently curt when answering questions regarding his 2011 plans but did say, “We are negotiating with a few teams that still have places available. Of course the situation is not easy, the priorities of the teams have changed a bit, the way how the drivers are chosen.” But added, “Nothing is confirmed, but we’re working. We have my sponsors, companies that are with us, but it’s not that simple.” F1 teams with race seats still available for 2011 are: Lotus Renault, Force India, Hispania Racing and Marussia Virgin Racing.
