Ice racing concludes Ferrari media event 16 January, 2010 Felipe Massa leads Fernando Alonso in the ice karting race The 20th edition of Wroom came to an end with the traditional race on the ice track on Madonna di Campiglio’s lake on the occasion of the media event organised by Philip Morris International. The Ferrari drivers and Ducati riders, who arrived last Monday in the Trentino region to present the 2010 motorsport season, went onto the frozen lake for the ice racing challenge. The result of the first race, held with Fiat Panda, saw Felipe Massa ahead of the Ducati drivers Casey Stoner and Niky Hayden, Giancarlo Fisichella, Fernando Alonso and Dudu, Felipe’s little brother. The first race’s result set the starting grid for the second, held in ice racing karts. The race with several exciting moments was won by Niky Hayden. The American Scuderia Ducati Marlboro rider crossed the line ahead of Massa, Stoner and Fisichella, while Dudu Massa and Fernando Alonso, who crashed into a safety barrier just one lap before the end, were not classified in this race of many surprises.
